TEXTILE TRIBE

Recently I had the pleasure of learning more about Textile Tribe. A market place for curated inspiration for creatives who share a passion for prints and textiles. This site is the best inspiration I have come across in years. It has outstanding content that everyone can appreciate.

The functionality is also done well. Nothing is worse than a hard to navigate site that looses you. The clean bright format and simple pages allow the imagery to be the stars. As a creative I also admire that they were not overwhelming me.  The last thing I want is to have to sift through a lot of description to get to the key elements. Textile Tribe puts the ease into visual research.

Every week stories are emailed to members and selected content is publicly posted to their site. They encourage sharing on Pinterest, and emailing among others to get the word out about themselves.

The content is amazing! Seriously every time I  go to the site I am made aware of some new artist collaboration, print direction that is taking root, or fresh color way.  I love that I can search in such an intentional manner that I do not waste time.

The other great feature is that if you are a large company you have the options to buy the prints listed. This is a new idea that in the print community of fashion and home no companies have tried out to my knowledge and done well.

I love how Textile Tribe is banding us all together to share ideas and designs. Check them out.!

LEADING THE SPRING TRENDS IN FABRIC COLOR AND DESIGN

We loved the event on April 13th hosted by David Zarin of Zarin Fabrics on the lower east side and featuring the “Into the Garden” new fabric collection from John Loecke & Jason Oliver Nixon's Madcap Cottage collaboration with Robert Allen.

The trend forward beautiful textiles will transform any space into the chic sanctuary that you want. With names like Beach Club, Isle boro, Eve, Monsoon Palace and Windy Corner, the colors and patterns draw you in, and create the unique spaces you want in your home.

John and Jason’s Pattern centric textiles and use of color demand the attention they deserve. Bringing excitement and focal points to your décor-by playing with scale, texture and pattern mixing.

David Zarin was happy to say that Zarin Fabrics will be the exclusive NYC retailer of the Madcap Cottage for Robert Allen @ Home collection.

Zarin Fabric’s is a key destination for decorators and TV set decorators. They have in stock the fabric you see on the floor, so you can take what you need now- and they are ready to help in any way they can for larger orders. The selection is mind blowing. Everything is beautiful and well organized.
